After a long drive, the bed felt great and the room was clean and nicely decorated. It was a little small, but had a mini fridge, microwave, flat TV, and AC that worked without any smell. With my AAA card and two small cats, I paid under $100. It's all I need from an inexpensive hotel, and I'd happily return. Not sure what to make of the other reviews.

I had a great first night at this La Quinta. Everyone was polite, kind, and attentive. When I checked out, I asked the desk about staying another night and was told there were plenty of vacancies. I paid for a cab back the next day, only for Niesy to tell me there were absolutely no rooms. Then she changed that to maybe one smoking double on the second floor. I'd already paid for the taxi, so I handed over my ID and credit card and said that should be enough to get the room, though I'd rather pay cash than rack up interest. They'd accepted cash the night before, but Niesy said cash was absolutely impossible. I called the rewards number, where I've been a longtime member, and they said there were more than 20 rooms available that matched my preferences. I filed a formal complaint with La Quinta and haven't heard back. At this point, I just need an address to return my rewards card. Terrible experience.

I reserved two nights but changed my mind and stayed only one. Getting help was frustrating from the start: nobody answered the phone until I'd called several times, and when I arrived there was no one at the desk. I waited, called, and nobody came out. After another ten minutes, I rang the doorbell and still got no response. The clerk finally appeared after 20 minutes or more, without apologizing or explaining where she'd been. The customer service annoyed me.

The room smelled awful, the beds were terrible, and the carpet was beyond serviceable. Paint was peeling from the bathroom ceiling and there was mold in the shower. We could even see light coming under the entry door. We got what we paid for, I guess. Next time I'll spend more for a nicer place. Take your hard-earned money somewhere else.

There are some decent La Quinta hotels, but this one is a dirty, musty, outdated roach motel. The bed was really uncomfortable too. If mold, roaches, gunfire, gangsters, or the ghetto are a problem for you, I'd pick another motel. At $65 a night, there's a reason it's so cheap.
