The girl at the front desk on the morning of May 15, 2026 gave me the worst customer service. When I said the bathtub wasn’t working, she said maintenance could be called but wouldn’t get to it that day. I asked to change rooms instead. She said it was maintenance week. Fine, I said I’d go swimming, but the pool was also closed for maintenance. I asked for the manager, and the front desk girl kept jumping into the conversation every couple of seconds. I told her that once I’d asked for the manager, she wasn’t part of that conversation. They’re charging resort fees while everything is out of service. They should update that online instead of telling people 20 minutes after check-in. Then they put a $700 hold on my card because they’re bad at their jobs. At least the 65” movie theater was still running.

At a “3-star luxury” property charging $750+ a night, we stayed seven nights and paid over $5,000, but were allotted just one replacement set of towels for the whole stay. I shower twice a day, so I was already short on towels by the end of the first day. A letter quietly tucked into the paperwork explains the policy: one replacement set for the entire visit. The towels are refreshed once for free, then you’re basically stuck with the same towel for the rest of your vacation. I don’t see how that follows Hyatt Vacation Club’s towel-replacement guidelines.

I’m an owner and have never been treated like I was today. Ashley at the front desk was extremely rude and hung up on me several times. She said I could only have towels washed once, according to a welcome packet I never received. I would have paid to wash them, but she wouldn’t tell me the cost. Instead, she argued that she had handed me the packet, though all she gave me was keys and a map. She hung up on me again and said they’d deliver the towels when they had time. This is not the Hyatt standard. She shouldn’t be in hospitality.

Jackie Esbin, the concierge, was the standout for us. She went out of her way to make the visit special for our son, who now thinks she’s a magical mountain fairy. The thoughtful little surprises made the trip unforgettable. The manager also made sure we felt welcome and looked after, and was kind, responsive, and helpful. We loved the pool and hot tubs and didn’t want to leave them. Private parking was convenient and stress-free. The location in the Beav is prime, with mountains and nature and enough luxury to make you forget about email for a while. A few things to know: there’s construction outside that Hyatt doesn’t control, and indoor renovations may also be underway depending on when you visit. Some units don’t have HVAC cooling, so ask ahead if A/C matters to you. We managed a cool stay even without it, sleeping with the windows open like it was 1993. We loved our time at The Residences at Mountain Lodge and hope to return soon.

We stopped in Beaver Creek for a night after visiting Glenwood, and the room was such a cozy, romantic place to relax. It was spotless, lovely, and surprisingly had a full kitchen, though I wasn’t planning to cook on my birthday. My husband usually books the rooms. The location made it easy to walk to shops, food, and coffee. The front desk staff were great, and the breakfast looked pretty good, although we didn’t try it. I liked how it was set out by the fireplace. The parking garage was my favorite ever, warm and smelling like fresh laundry. We’d definitely stay again.
