Buffalo Pointe Lodge And Café

The only things I liked were the central location, the nice pine tree out front with its cute baby buffalo figure, and the easy check-in and checkout. The house may be 100 years old, but that doesn't mean the towels, carpet, mattress, and bedding need to be old, stained, and worn out. The bathroom smelled of mildew, and the water pressure and temperature weren't impressive. The floor and stairs creaked so much I thought we might break through. Breakfast wasn't appealing at all, so we went to a local restaurant instead. I was very disappointed with our stay back in April 2019 and wouldn't stay at this inn again.

We loved the simple feel of the experience. We were excited to stay in an old home, and it was a plus that our room was actually outside. If you're expecting expensive and perfect, you won't like it, but that wasn't what we wanted. Everything was within walking distance. We spent most of the evening sitting outside, chatting with other guests and enjoying the evening.

We wanted to try an inn instead of a motel, and this was a very quaint place with a room as described. We arrived at 4 pm on a chilly day and seemed to be the only people in the building. There was no heat in the dining room or our room, so we turned on the gas heater in the dining room and the space heater in our room. After a walk, it was comfortable when we came back. We never saw another person during our stay. We had only half a roll of toilet paper and ran out. Must be a shortage of toilet paper in Williams.

Subjectively, it's kitschy and cute, and if you're okay with a place that's old, with old stuff and no polish, it's a great stay. If that isn't your thing, it won't suit you. The Wi-Fi didn't work, there was no cable and no breakfast at all. I didn't care about those, but some way to make coffee would've been nice.
