The room suited what I needed, and I enjoyed staying here. The staff responded when I raised things, and they cleared the snow quickly. It seems new management is trying to freshen up a local staple. I had some doubts going in, since I travel for work and have seen some rough places. It looks like some people may be living there on Section 8, but hey, it’s winter in a blue state. Cricket and the ants don’t apply in la la land. Once the weather improves, updating the bathrooms and especially replacing the windows with double or triple pane ones would make this hidden gem excellent.

The smell hit us everywhere, including at reception, and the room was disgusting. Mold covered the bathroom, flies were all over the room, the sheets were dirty, the floor felt sticky, the smoke alarm hung from the ceiling with cut wires, and the broken bathroom blinds left the room exposed. It looked nothing like the advertised photos. When we asked to change rooms because of the condition, the man at reception yelled at us and threatened to call the police. At first he offered a refund, saying the hotel was full, and we accepted. Moments later he was shouting and demanding that we prove what was wrong, then tried to blame us for damage that was clearly old and deteriorated. We were treated with extreme disrespect and rudely kicked out. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve had in my 40 years. I wouldn’t recommend the motel to anyone. It was filthy, unsafe, smelly, and run by the most unprofessional staff I’ve encountered. I’d rather sleep in my car. This place should be shut down for unsanitary conditions.

I paid over 100 bucks after tax, and honestly they should have paid me for cleaning the room I was stuck in. Before bringing anything inside, I scrubbed the floors, walls, doors, windows, doorknobs, toilet, and vanity. We couldn’t walk around without shoes because it was that disgusting. A motel still needs to be clean. The walls were stained with who knows what, and taking away used towels and replacing them isn’t cleaning. This place clearly doesn’t meet basic living standards. I was glad it was only one night. If all you need is a roof for a night, a tent would be better. They should tear this place down.

The room hadn’t been cleaned when I arrived. There were dead bugs on the floor, flies, and hair everywhere. I woke up covered in what looked like bed bug bites. I showed the staff the bites the next day. They said they’d clean the room the following day, but wouldn’t refund me or move me. When I came back, nothing had been cleaned. I got more bites overnight. The manager slammed the door in my face when I asked again for a refund or another room, and told me to leave if I didn’t like it. The staff ignored me and shut the door on me. This was a health hazard, with appalling service and an abusive, extremely disrespectful manager. Save yourself the headache and stay somewhere else.

The shower had great water pressure. The rest of the place, though, seemed to have neither a vacuum nor a mop, and apparently no handy people they could call. If your boss booked this hotel for you, find another job. Husbands, expect an argument with your wife. If it passed your search criteria, you probably knew what you were getting into, but still… jeeze Louise!
