Econo Lodge Bellefonte I-99

The front desk receptionist was friendly and helpful, and hot coffee was available. My room was comfortable, and being close to downtown was a big plus. I had a pleasant stay.

The hosts were pleasant, and the room was clean overall. The bed was comfortable and the TV was very nice. But the air conditioner had been set to 67 degrees, which was too cold for me at first. The shower curtain kept getting in the way because there was no fan, and the water pressure felt too high and wasn’t aimed properly. Breakfast was a joke, so I drove a short way to the Waffle Shop in Bellefonte instead. Traveling alone, I could overlook quite a bit, but I doubt a significant other would have been as accepting. That’s why this is just an “okay” review.

For the price, this motel had what we needed. It’s not luxury lodging, but the room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom in good shape. The heating and air conditioning were easy to manage, the insulation kept outside noise out, and the internet worked fine. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were also happy with breakfast: the bread and pastries, along with yogurt, were better than what we’ve had at similar priced hotels and motels. Thanks for a nice stay.

We’ve been coming here for more than 10 years, and it feels like our State College home. We’ll keep returning. It isn’t a luxury hotel, but the rooms are clean, warm, recently refreshed, and comfortable. When we travel, we just want a safe place to sleep rather than somewhere to spend all our time. The staff are welcoming and very helpful.
