We've been living here for six months, and the views from the apartments are great. The leasing and front office people are generally friendly and helpful, and the location, pool, and hot tub are good. The gym is okay, and parking feels secure, though a bit cramped. The resident portal only lets you submit maintenance requests, so residents can't talk with one another there. The North Tower elevators have been out for nearly six of the past fourteen days. They try repairs, but often they last only a couple of hours. There are 25 floors there. We live in the South Tower, but it's still a hassle when we can't get to the yoga room. The South elevators have gone out occasionally too, and it feels like only a matter of time before they have the same problem. A dishwasher broke in our unit once, and it took three to four weeks to replace it. I get that boiler and elevator problems keep maintenance busy, but if the team is understaffed, management needs to address that instead of just apologizing. They also showed us the 25th-floor lounge during the lease tour without mentioning the $250-per-hour fee to use it. The golf room and movie theater require leaving your ID with the leasing office, which means planning around their 9-to-5 hours or handing it over overnight or for a weekend just to use an amenity for a couple of hours. That's incredibly inconvenient. I hope the team takes this feedback constructively and improves.

Shar was so thoughtful and professional during my tour. She really put herself in my shoes and helped me find the unit that suited me best, even after her work hours. I really appreciate her kindness and enthusiasm.

We've been here more than eight years, and despite the many stories along the way, most of our experience has been positive. We love this safe, secure place in the heart of Bellevue Downtown. We're grateful to be part of this community and to have had such a wonderful previous team. Greystar took over the property management in May 2025, with a new Soma Towers Management Team. The transition has been challenging for residents and for the new team. My feeling is that if you stay patient, communicate clearly about your main concerns and needs, and keep calm, the new leasing team will hear you and give good support. It can take extra time to sort things out, but they work hard, and we really appreciate their help. This is a difficult period for everyone, and I believe the delays are temporary while the new team gets up to speed. A little patience and politeness can go a long way. Last year we had some delays with work orders, but Shar and Adam Foster worked together to move things along and did a great job replacing our dishwasher and washer/dryer. Adam is meticulous and pays close attention to detail. His experience speaks for itself. I also admire Shar as a leader. She's positive, always smiling, polite, and ready to help. If we take care of each other here, we can make this the happiest community in Bellevue Downtown. Take care and enjoy life with peace and love in your heart. Grateful.

The common-area electricity charge has been about twice what I pay for electricity in my own apartment, which seems surprisingly high. The building also has recurring utility interruptions, including multiple hot water outages, and the elevators break down often. Right now, one of the two elevators is expected to be out for several weeks, leaving the north building with just one. That elevator has also failed repeatedly. It was out for the last three days and down again this morning. Management might as well schedule the next outage email ahead of time. They didn't send one this morning, even though the elevator was down, as you can see in the image from the past few days. For a high-rise with premium rents, working elevators and dependable utilities should be basic expectations.

In my first month here, the hot water went out twice. It's miserable not to have hot water at night when you want a shower, and since my original review it has failed two more times. Losing hot water is starting to feel normal here. The elevators also seem constantly broken, with extremely long waits at busy times when one or more are out. My unit's heater AC wasn't working right after I moved in. It was cold, and nobody responded to my maintenance request for two full days. At my last apartment, problems like that were usually fixed the same day. Utility charges are unusually high compared with nearby apartments, and management said there's a boiler problem, but repairs have been very slow. The front desk staff were unhelpful, and it felt like they brushed people off. For most issues, I had to follow up in person several times before anything happened. The management and maintenance here are unacceptable for the rent. The low rating makes sense given these real service problems. Read reviews carefully before moving in, because there are better options nearby and I wouldn't want anyone else going through this frustration.
