Fairfield Inn Suites Charlotte Belmont

Our NC/SC Links golf tournament was recently held at Cramer Mountain Country Club in Cramerton, NC, and the Fairfield Inn Belmont hosted our teams. I've been a Marriott Bonvoy member for years and stayed in many places, but the personal service here really stayed with me. Check-in and checkout were seamless, even with all our luggage and equipment, thanks to the friendly reception staff. General manager Michael Zubel welcomed us warmly. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean, and housekeeping was very responsive. Breakfast in the dining area was fabulous, with lots of choices and great coffee. After checkout, I realized I'd left a small bag in my room while we were rushing to the tournament. I called, and the receptionist said she'd retrieve it and keep it at the desk until we returned. She called back to confirm she'd found it and had it waiting. That was exceptionally courteous service. Many thanks to The Fairfield Inn Belmont. We look forward to returning next year! J. Kirk

The hotel is clean and new, but we found out the hard way that car break-ins are a serious concern here. My car, which was only one week old, had its window smashed, and three other people had their cars broken into too. The front desk was nice and had me fill out paperwork from the ownership, but I never heard back. They didn't even comp the stay. Police took a report and said not to expect much. I was told people come from Charlotte and hit the hotel regularly. I only learned afterward that reviews on different platforms show this has been a problem since the place opened. It seems they don't care or even try. I'm a Platinum Elite member with Marriott, and I won't stay here again. I didn't even get an email saying they were sorry my new car was smashed on their property.

The coffee was ready early, hot, and good, which I appreciated. The front desk staff were great, too, but breakfast started late and wasn't stocked well. Cereal showed up eight minutes after opening, then the hot food came later. One item was a highly processed, premade jalapeño muffin that only needed warming, and there were just two yogurts in the cooler. In the rooms, I found drink rings on the furniture, crumbs and bits of trash on the carpet, and hair stuck to the shower walls. It looked as though someone had only dried them with dirty, used towels. Management seems willing to accept mediocre work from employees. Time to get back to pre-pandemic standards.

My family lived just five minutes away, so the location worked perfectly. The room was clean, and I was glad to find disinfecting wipes for the remote since I usually bring Lysol when I travel. I didn't use the other services, but the breakfast spread looked nice. I enjoyed the stay and would recommend Fairfield by Marriott.
