A nice perk is the voucher for one free drink each day at the Crazy Cow Saloon inside the hotel. Breakfast was good, though I missed having fresh fruit and think bananas or apples would be nice. I stayed here for work nearby and found the hotel calm and clean. The rooms are pretty standard for this category, and there's a pool, though I didn't use it.

The beds were okay but nothing special, and the shower in the bathroom was very weird. There was very limited connectivity and few USB-A or USB-C outlets. Apart from the flat screen TV, the place could have been the same as it was 20 years ago. It's part of a decent chain, but this particular motel feels like a relic. When I told the staff how we felt, they didn't seem bothered.

The room and location weren't great, and the price feels unfair. Random screws had been drilled into the wall to hold up a broken shower rod, and there were holes in the wall. At $140 a night, I just can't see how that makes sense. This is an $80-a-night hotel at best.

We had nowhere to go after our car stalled on the roadside, and the staff helped us settle into a warm, clean room. The next morning, after working with us during our stay, the manager and another staff member both offered to drive us to our rental car in the next town. That kind of kindness sticks with you.

Breakfast was really handy, and the manager even helped us fill our coolers with buckets of ice. We were there for one night during a cross-country drive, and it was our best stop so far. The room was clean, the bed was great, and everyone was friendly. Stay here if you're passing through, you won't regret it.
