Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Beloit

This is my fourth stay, and it's easily my favorite hotel in the country. I've had more than 50 stays at Marriott's this year. Emily is always so sweet, and management is too. The things they do for guests make it clear they care about the hotel. Thanks for always being awesome.

Update: Thank you, Marriot, for making this right and adding points to my account. I'm updating my service rating. I've stayed here several times, and most visits were okay, so I hate leaving one star. On one stay, I woke around midnight to a leak in the ceiling and went to the front desk to report it. The staff member made me wait ten minutes for the manager, who handed me a key to another room and walked away. I had to move all my belongings myself in the middle of the night, then get up for work at 5 a.m. I wasn't offered compensation or points at the time. When I raised it with the morning manager, they said they'd call and reimburse me with Marriott points because I'd been a member for a while. Two weeks passed with no points, which left me feeling like I'd lost points for the stay. I was disappointed that they didn't follow up as promised.

We booked at the last minute on the same day because we wanted to keep the cost down. The room was clean and the front desk staff were friendly, so it wasn't a bad stay, but this wouldn't be my first choice. It could work for a family on a budget, though it wasn't upscale. The pool water looked murky. Breakfast was mostly carbs, the fruit wasn't hardy, and most hot items seemed to be microwaved. The staff were kind but slow to restock the food and condiments.

The price was reasonable, the hotel was very clean, and check-in went smoothly. My room had a shower but no bathtub, and plenty of pillows. The toilet seat sits low, which felt awkward since I'm a little taller. There was plenty of parking and plenty of restaurants nearby.
