Quality Inn Bemidji

For what we paid, this was a great deal, and the service was exceptional. Our room was quiet and clean, and the location is convenient to everything. Patel was especially accommodating.

My stay was dirty and unpleasant. There was a ring in the tub, crusty residue around the bathroom floor that smelled bad, and sticky stuff by the front door that I stepped in barefoot on my way to the closet. A towel had a large brown stain. The fridge howled almost constantly and felt so unstable it tipped when opened. The AC only worked sometimes on the highest setting, and its control panel was behind a door that came off. The room also had a strange tub despite having no plug. We asked to have one bed remade with fresh bedding; they said two hours, but nobody came. The manager said rooms were serviced every other day, which was offered instead of an apology. At breakfast, they wouldn't let anyone take food back to their room, which seemed odd with only a small breakfast table available. They also refused a one-hour late checkout. When I raised the poor service, the manager was dismissive and rude and never apologized. I'm not rich, but I'm proud and respectful, and I expect common courtesy when paying for a service. I thought Quality Inn would take pride in its care and service.

If you arrive with high expectations, you may be disappointed. It's a two-star hotel, and the beds are inexpensive, but they were comfortable enough, the clean sheets were a plus, and the rooms are spacious. For somewhere to sleep, it worked well for me, and I didn't have any issues. The staff were awesome, and I'd stay here again. I recommend this location.

I was working nearby and stayed for about three weeks this summer. They discounted the room but still swept daily, took out the trash, and brought fresh towels every day. Breakfast at 7 was excellent, with hot coffee, a waffle maker, juice, bread, yogurt, and cereal. Everything was kept clean. The staff are doing a fantastic job, and I applaud them!
