Element by Marriott Bend

The pool and hot tub were always clean and working, and the rooms were consistently clean too. Breakfast and the amenities were top shelf. The happy hour and tea time were a great touch. Special staff at a special hotel.

The breakfast was a letdown, especially the omelets, which were poor in both taste and preparation. Even at a lower-tier hotel, they could offer simple hot choices like properly cooked scrambled eggs to improve the meal. There was no room cleaning after the first night. I later found out guests have to ask for housekeeping, but nobody clearly explained that at check-in. Daily cleaning is one of the basic reasons I choose a hotel instead of an Airbnb, so having to request it felt like a cost-cutting measure rather than a guest-focused policy. The stay fell short of what I expect from the Marriott brand. Clearer housekeeping information and a better breakfast setup would make the experience more satisfactory.

The team members were friendly and the atmosphere felt clean and welcoming. There was water for guests on every floor, a nice gym, and a different offering or event each night. The spacious rooms were very comfortable. The indoor pool and jacuzzi were both a good size. Good location and a nice hotel. I'd stay again.

The room was gorgeous, really spacious, and had great lighting. The mini-shop was better stocked than I'm used to. I walked a few minutes into town for dinner and found an Irish pub I liked, with other places available that I skipped. If I come to Bend again, I'll probably stay here.
