Seventh Mountain Resort

Update: The operators' copy-and-paste reply, with nothing genuine in it, makes me think they have no interest in fixing the problems raised in my review or other guests' reviews. It feels like they're just checking a box and washing their hands of it. That says a lot about how little they value their owners. My wife has owned at Worldmark for a long time, and we've stayed at dozens of its locations. I'm really on the fence about this one. The location is great between Bend and Mt Bachelor, and there are good amenities: an ice rink, two good-sized pools with hot tubs, and an on-site restaurant. But it's frustrating to see how little upkeep goes into an investment we've put so much money into. On our last two stays, we've run into maintenance problems, including a phone from 1992 that doesn't work, malfunctioning cable boxes, and half-assed upkeep in the rooms. For the past two years, they've said they're updating, but it still hasn't happened. Service after check-in is poor, too. At check-in they give you a hard sales pitch and go on about how valuable your ownership is to them. After that, you feel like you mean nothing. Tonight was the last straw. I asked the office for another blanket and a couple of pillows. They said they didn't have them there and asked if delivery to our room would be okay. Of course, I said yes. More than two hours passed, and we were ready for bed with nothing delivered. My wife contacted them, and they said they were busy and asked if they could bring the items the next day, or told us we could come get them. They'd said the items weren't in the office, but now they were suddenly available. I said I'd be there in ten minutes. When I arrived, the items I needed were stocked in a back room. I told the man at the counter I was frustrated by the lack of urgency and poor communication within the staff and with us as guests. He seemed like he couldn't care less. I wouldn't be this upset if it were a one-off, but exactly the same thing happened when we stayed here last year. This location needs to get its act together. We've never had this kind of experience at another Worldmark.
