Hampton Inn Benson

We had a great stay and the price was very good. Everything, including the common areas, was clean, and the staff were very kind. The room had good air quality and didn’t smell moldy or mushy, a first for me after staying at many hotels. Breakfast was delicious, 10/10. For the kids, there were coloring papers and crayons. When we arrived, guests were offered fruit, delicious orange/lemon juice water, and warm meatballs for free. We first stopped here during another road trip just to use the restroom and fell in love with the cozy, homey Christmas decorations in the lobby. On our return road trip, we booked a night there right away to rest before continuing.

Check-in was easy, the hotel was super clean, and the breakfast was very good. The room was really nice, with a roomy shower for bigger people and a tub if you have kids or pets. I love that it’s pet friendly, and I’d definitely stay here again.

The rooms were very clean, and breakfast was really nice and clean too. They’ve got a huge dog park where our dog could run before we got back on the road, and the pet fee was only $50. The young man with the dreads at the desk was so friendly when we walked by. It was nice to actually get a friendly greeting from someone in customer service.

For nearly $300 a night, I expected much better. The $75 pet fee is extremely high, and the pillows were very uncomfortable. The first room’s AC was so loud I couldn’t even talk on the phone, so I asked to change rooms. The second was slightly better, but its AC still didn’t work well and the room stayed hot most of the night. For that price, the stay wasn’t worth it.
