The staff were friendly, the shower worked well, and the parking lot is enormous, probably big enough for a 747. Those were about the only bright spots. The lobby carpet smelled awful and looked decades old, and the chain-link barrier around the dining area felt cold and unwelcoming. At check-in, the glass screen between guests and the employee made the place feel like a prison. My room was huge but had no warmth or comforting amenities, and the bed was soft and lumpy. For $178, this wasn’t worth even half the price. I can’t understand why DELTA airlines includes it in “Delta Stays”; has anyone from Delta actually visited, or considered how this association hurts their brand? This place should be razed. It was the most depressing hotel stay of my life.

The hotel had a smoke smell even though there were no-smoking signs, and the glass screen at check-in felt unwelcoming. There’s also a lot of repair work needed on the roof. The ceiling tiles above the stairs were badly stained, and water leaked in our room onto the bed, leaving a visible wet mark on the sheets. They moved us to a first-floor room, which was fine.

I stayed here for an extended stretch and would come back if I’m in the area again. It’s a good budget option, whether you need one night away or a longer stay. The beds are comfy and the rooms are nice. Neal and the rest of the staff were always helpful and pleasant, and you can see they’re working hard to improve the hotel. It isn’t a five-star place, but they do their best to make the stay pleasant.

Please don’t stay here. I spent one night and woke up today to find that almost $3,000 in cash was missing from my wallet. There were two doors in the room, which had made me feel confident, but I still chose to stay. Now the money is gone.
