Days Inn by Wyndham Bethel - Danbury

This was my fourth time staying here. We come to the area once a year, and it works well for us. It's a nice, clean hotel with friendly people, and it doesn't cost a fortune. There's a great diner just down the street.

It's clean, the beds are comfortable, the staff are friendly, and it didn't have any odd smell. There's a good place to walk the dog, too, and the hotel is pet friendly. I've stayed here on past trips and will come back next time I'm traveling. You never quite know what you'll get with some hotels, but this one's a nice place. Why can't they all be like this?

We appreciated how clean the place was and how friendly the staff were. When our room's A/C only put out lukewarm air, they offered to move us, but it was late and we didn't want to change rooms, so they brought a fan instead. The staff handled it kindly, but the bed frames need replacing. The mattresses sit on metal frames that make a tremendous racket, like someone banging a big metal drum when you sit down. The frames also stick out at knee height, which feels hazardous. We had decided to try the place because reviews praised its cleanliness and staff, while we overlooked one warning about the noisy beds.

The room was spacious and quiet, and worked well for wheelchair access. I'd have liked a coffee maker in the room. The freezer really needed defrosting, though.
