Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Bethlehem by IHG

We arrived at 3 in the morning after a long travel day, and Casay at the desk was so kind and welcoming. He generously gave us a late checkout, which we really appreciated. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and we slept well, though we missed breakfast. My boyfriend asked if we could get cereal, and Simone and Alicia kindly brought us bagels with cream cheese and butter, yogurts, and fresh fruit. It was such an unexpected surprise. We wish more hotels hired people like these three. They’re amazing, and we’ll definitely stay again when our travels bring us here. If we could, we’d give them all a 10.

The room was spacious and really nice, and the AC and heat both worked well without making much noise. But the staff were the best part, especially Shay and Raven. They were professional, knowledgeable, and lovely to talk with. I wanted pretzels, but they were out. The next day Shay surprised me with a bag! That was unexpectedly awesome. I usually enjoy Holiday Inn Express, but this was one of the dirtiest places I’ve stayed. The first bed had leftover hair and dirt in it, and the other bed had stains. I was so tired I didn’t ask for a refund, though otherwise I would have. The first-floor elevator button was also out, but things do break sometimes. IHG has another hotel down the street, so if its price is close, I’d try that one first.

The room, bed, and bathroom were clean and well kept, which I appreciated. The big problem was the AC and heating unit. It ran loudly all night, with a constant disruptive noise that made it hard to relax or sleep. After a long day driving, I’d hoped to rest before continuing my vacation, but I woke up tired and unrested. The stay would have been much better with quieter climate control. I hope management looks into repairing or upgrading the system for future guests.
