The View Inn & Suites

I chose this hotel for a five-day, four-night business trip because it was on the lower end of the price range, which made me a little nervous. I was pleasantly surprised: the room was clean and quiet, the temperature was just right, and the hot breakfast each morning was pretty decent. There were waffles, oatmeal, turkey sausage, eggs, potatoes, plus cereal, yogurt, bagels, toast, and a few other things. The front desk ladies were very sweet and eager to help, so customer service gets an A+. I’ve found where I’ll stay when I’m in the area again. Just know there’s a $100 incidental security deposit and the building has two stories with no elevator. And there better be a pool next time, you promised! Lol

For the price, this is an excellent value, and I’ll stay here again next time I’m in the Lehigh Valley. My room was large and clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were top notch. The hotel is just off 22 but still quiet, with a Perkins only steps from the back door. They don’t even jack up the price of a bottle of water. I’d put it somewhere between a three-and-a-half and five-star hotel, since everything met or exceeded my expectations.

The bathtub design really stood out to me. I’d never seen one like it. The place was clean and nicely decorated, and breakfast was good. It felt welcoming, too.

The breakfast was a big letdown after seeing people call it “the best in town.” The sausages looked and tasted bad, the eggs seemed microwaved, the coffee was cold, there was no fruit, and the potatoes were soggy. My two kids and I also had a room that strongly smelled like marijuana had been smoked in it before we arrived. The beds were so uncomfortable that none of us got a good night’s sleep. I’m not sure who’s leaving the positive reviews, but our stay was very disappointing. Maybe other guests expect less, but this wasn’t acceptable to us. I’d spend an extra $20-$30 a night on a better hotel. You’ll probably be much happier.
