Red Roof Inn Atlanta - Norcross

I’ve been booking here every night for the past three months. The location is clean and quiet, and the front desk has been friendly and accommodating whenever I’ve brought an issue to their attention. I’d highly recommend staying here, even for an extended stretch if you need one.

The price had us expecting a basic place, not a five-star hotel, but this was one of the worst stays we’ve had. The room had a pungent smell right when we walked in. We tried to put up with it for one night, but then found mold on the bathroom ceiling, broken drawers, and a tub that wouldn’t drain. Water leaked across the bathroom floor, and seconds later we saw a roach crawling across the room. We went straight to the front desk to ask for a room change. The man brushed us off, saying someone would come look, though it might take a while because maintenance was working on other things. We explained again that there were roaches and that we needed to get ready, but he still dismissed us. The maintenance worker seemed overworked but tried to fix the tub. It worked briefly, then backed up again. We were already late and didn’t think the front desk would help, so we took a quick shower. The water still rose to our knees. When we got back from our event and turned on the lights, the roaches scattered to hide. I wish I’d listened to the review I’d read before booking. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

This is a budget hotel, so I don’t expect immaculate rooms, but ours are large, warm, and clean. The area feels safe and is well lit at night, and public transportation is close by. My family and I have had to rely on hotel stays regularly since falling on hard times, especially now that the weather’s getting colder. Even though the staff know we stay here often, they treat us with kindness and respect. Mr Danny is awesome. Mr. Levi from maintenance says hello in the mornings and has a quick chat, which helps me start my day off right. The housekeeping staff are easy to relate to and usually around until late afternoon. If I need toilet paper, a towel, or help with something, they take care of it without fuss. Good people all around. Thanks, Red Roof staff. My family and I appreciate you!

The elevator works, though it’s ugly and noisy. Parking was plentiful, clean, and well lit, and check-in was quick. The employees were polite and helpful. Our room looked modern and was very clean, with crisp sheets and pillowcases. The mattresses seemed new, about a foot high, and were comfortable.
