Wind Creek Bethlehem

Chip checked us in again, just as he did last time, and he was warm, welcoming, and accommodating, always with a smile. Our new host Jaden went out of his way to meet us at Chop House, then came by our slot machine after dinner to see if we’d enjoyed it. He was gracious and excited to help make our two days fun. Dinner was delicious: I had a wedge salad, a perfectly cooked New York Strip, and Brussels sprouts that I loved. Since my birthday is next week, we split the fabulous chocolate cake. We had a good time at the machines, but no luck at all. They felt very tight, and there wasn’t a hit to be had. It gets disheartening after a couple of days of hearing the looped “Jackpot” while someone else wins and we don’t get a nibble. I’m happy for them, but ugh for us. I miss when they gave out random free slot play every hour or so. I wish there were more attendants around the casino floor and hotel, especially late at night. All in all, we had fun, though I hope we have better luck next time and I can hit something for once.

We were lucky enough to be guests of the day and got upgraded to a very nice suite. It was clean and well equipped, and every staff member we passed greeted us. They also gave us a free bag of stuff and coupons for free drinks. Wind creek did a great job renovating the hotel since our earlier visit under the previous ownership. The lobby looks lovely, and the hospitality exceeded my expectations even more than the rooms did. The spa is fantastic, too, and so well done even if you don’t get a massage. If you’re local, this is a great staycation. Check it out, it’s worth the time and money.

The room was spacious, and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. We only stayed one night, but wished we could have stayed longer. Valet service let us keep warm while enjoying the restaurants, shopping, and casino without going outside. Since we had show tickets, being able to stay onsite gave us time to relax and escape the cold winter weather. The staff were friendly and informative. We’ll definitely plan another visit.

We’ve stayed at wind Creek for a few years and usually love the location. The rooms are consistently clean and stocked, but this visit left us very unhappy. Our room was ready at check-in, yet we spent an hour in the lobby waiting for a luggage cart. The valet said someone could bring our bags up, but the front desk never mentioned that. I kept returning to ask about a cart, and the front desk staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, mostly ignoring us. We were exhausted from traveling and just wanted to get into the room and relax. It was a frustrating start to a getaway that’s meant to help us unwind. We also got four free drink cards for MIXX, but we were checking out Monday and didn’t get to use one on Saturday because we were out all evening. On Sunday we tried to use it, only to find MIXX was closed. That was baffling and disappointing, especially at a high-end hotel. They should have given us cards for Saturday night only and explained the closure at check-in. I hope this feedback helps improve the front desk service, which matters a lot to me when choosing a hotel.
