Clarion Pointe Bettendorf - Quad Cities

For about $75, this is a practical place to stop for the night without any major problems. The room was basic, clean, and comfortable enough, though it had a slight musty smell when I first walked in. Breakfast was just a quick option, mostly frozen Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches and a waffle station. Fine before heading back on the road, but not a meal to hang around for. Clarion Pointe Bettendorf is a straightforward, no frills hotel for a short stopover. It meets expectations, though it doesn’t go beyond them.

Loved our stay and would definitely come back with my husband and our two fur babies, one a small service animal and the other a regular pet. Everything was quiet and clean, and there were no bed bugs or any bugs at all. The young man at reception was very polite, which feels rare these days. We found the hotel quiet and well worth the money. The pool was wonderful, the room exceptionally clean, and the staff excellent. Breakfast wasn’t the best, but at least they had it. Getting there was easy, and check-in was simple, with checkout even easier. If we’re in the area again, we’ll definitely stay here.

The bed and bathroom seemed clean, which was a relief, but there were handprints all over the headboard and the drawer beside the nightstand was filthy. The halls, walls, and elevator were dirty too. The man who checked me in had on a dirty polo, which made for a poor first impression. Breakfast was very limited compared with other Choice hotels, and I didn’t see anyone working as an attendant. My husband’s service dog always wore his vest and badge, but we were charged a pet fee without anyone speaking to us. They removed the charge after I raised it twice.
