MCM Eleganté Hotel & Suites

I'm trying to get my money back, but they won't answer my calls. We came back to find the bathtub filling up, and the room phone didn't work when we tried to call the front desk. We went downstairs and were told no maintenance person was available. Since no one seemed to care, we had to empty the tub ourselves with trash cans from our room. Marina and Lainey at the front desk were horrible. They hang up on customers or leave them on hold endlessly when they don't want to do their jobs.

For $165 a night, I expected much better and left very disappointed. The room was extremely outdated, with carpet that felt sticky. The couch was broken in the middle, the toilet paper holder was coming loose, and the toilet leaked and was stained. The tub had been patched so many times it looked polka-dotted. The bed was okay, but sloped inward a little. I didn't try the breakfast.

The front desk service was great and breakfast was fantastic. The room, though, was old and musty and desperately needs an upgrade. I checked carefully for bugs and didn't find any. Housekeeping could use some help too, since the corners and tub were still dirty. I'll include photos.

Right in Downtown Lubbock, this is a nice little hotel. The rooms are decent and the shower pressure is good. Breakfast has lots of options and an omelette bar, better than at most other hotels you could book. Even when the place was busy and full, we got fed and on our way quickly.
