The London West Hollywood at Beverly Hills

My wife and I went to a wedding at The London West Hollywood and had such a good time that we even considered having our own wedding there. The hotel is beautiful and has a luxe feel without going overboard. Its rooftop atmosphere was incredible, and the service was attentive. The event spaces looked stunning and were laid out thoughtfully, so the celebration flowed smoothly from beginning to end. As wedding guests, we found the whole occasion fun, elevated, and memorable.

For under $500 a night in WeHo, this is an easy hotel to recommend. The London feels high-end but low-key, and it has spacious rooms, a beautiful restaurant, lovely views, and is super dog friendly. I’ve stayed at plenty of great hotels, and this is one of the better ones. SLS is nice too, but The London’s staff are more welcoming and hospitable.

The rooms were nice, though not spectacular for the price, and the staff were very helpful. The billing, however, was a hassle. They put a $300-per-night incidental hold on the account, which is supposed to be refunded if unused, on top of a $30 nightly amenity fee and $75 a night for parking. Those fees aren’t unusual for the area, but we waited two weeks for the credit and still hadn’t received it. My wife was then told it would take another 2-3 business days. They eventually refunded what they owed and, acknowledging the hassle and time we’d lost, also comped the amenity and parking fees. I raised my service rating from 2 to 3 stars for that. I’d still have preferred less trouble getting our money back.

This was my third stay, and I still love it even though it’s pricey. The location is right in the heart of WeHo, the onsite amenities are great, the food is delicious, and the pool is delightful. It’s quiet and well managed, too.
