The maids came and did a great job, but some beds weren't made when we arrived. The biggest surprise was the hot tub being out of service, marked only with a piece of tape after we got there. That should have been disclosed when we rented. There were plenty of other little things too: a loose sink faucet, broken toys in the backyard, no toilet paper on the roll, no chalk for the pool table, and every pool stick was bent or coming apart. This was another place where the pictures and listing raised expectations that the actual stay didn't meet. For a place like this, I think those details should have been better.

The cabins are huge and absolutely stunning, and the neighborhood is quiet. We stayed in this area over the holidays, but the houses sit right next to each other, so it doesn't really feel like a getaway from everything. There's no walking access to the lake, and there aren't tall pines around. Still, it's a nice neighborhood.

The houses look nice, but you're in the lake basin rather than the woods. There aren't many good walks from the estate, and the area isn't pedestrian friendly.
