We stayed two days, but on the first day we couldn’t check in until three hours after the scheduled time. Once we got in, the first night wasn’t too bad, aside from the room’s cleanliness. Fake rose petals and beer bottle caps had been left around, and we even found some kind of larva in the spa. The worst part was the noise from the room above us. It sounded like tap dancing, stomping, or a skateboard going back and forth from 9:30 at night until 5 in the morning, like someone was having a party. When I reported it, they promised a partial refund, but months later it still hasn’t arrived. Poor service and communication.

The unit was disgusting: the sheets were dirty and stained, clearly unwashed, there was blood on the floor, toiletries had already been used, and the cups and mugs hadn’t been washed. The advertised Jacuzzi was also dirty, with mold and grime in the jets and vents. The manager offered to move me to another suite, then stopped responding when I asked where they planned to move us. They finally replied at 10:15 p.m., three hours after offering to relocate us. By then I’d booked elsewhere because the room was uninhabitable. Avoid this property.

We loved how beautiful the room was for our honeymoon, but the hot tub was a letdown. When we switched on the jets, debris and mildew kept shooting out. We drained it and ran the jets several times, but the gross stuff still came through. I was really looking forward to relaxing in it after all the wedding planning and the wedding day. I would have given the place five stars, but when we contacted the person in charge, we didn't hear back until checkout.

It has more of an Airbnb feel than a hotel, with just four separate units. The rooms are large and modern, and ours had a big jacuzzi and an electric fireplace. I'd stay here again.

Everything felt new, clean, and modern when we came for our anniversary. The setup was beautiful, the staff were very accommodating, and the shops and village are close by. This is my new favorite spot in Big Bear.
