Super 8 Big Timber

A semi truck crash shut down 90 just east of Big Timber and stranded my wife, me, and our three cats. They welcomed us warmly and gave us a room overlooking the mountains. The beds and bedding were comfortable, breakfast was warm, and the service was top notch. I'd find an excuse to come back to the area just to stay here.

My room and its amenities were just right, and the woman who checked me in was terrific, helpful, and considerate. The trains were very loud as they went by. Maybe none passed between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m., or maybe I slept through them. Breakfast started at 6, but the desk clerk was still trying to get the coffee ready at 6:15. She'd already been working on it for at least half an hour, and many guests missed out on coffee. I didn't leave my key cards or get a receipt because she was still occupied in the breakfast area. I felt bad for her.

The photos the hotel posted are accurate, and the rooms and shared spaces are updated, spotless, and just right for a quick overnight. Breakfast is simple but there are choices, including a waffle maker, oatmeal, lactose-free yogurt, juice, and coffee. I even saw staff scrubbing the room floors on their hands and knees. I'd happily come back.

I hadn't been back for quite a while because the place really needed remodeling. The new Super 8 looks lovely and is so clean. They did a great job with the remodel, and the staff were excellent. I'd definitely recommend staying here.
