Yves, who works overnight, was incredibly hospitable, kind, and personable. She made sure I had what I needed, and I felt so cared for that I had to give her a hug before I left. The customer service was amazing. I first booked one night while visiting Brooklyn from New Jersey, then extended for three more because I enjoyed it so much. From the moment you walk in, it feels welcoming, and the complimentary lobby popcorn is a small touch that sets a great tone. The rooms were fresh, clean, and well kept. I was on the 8th floor, looking over the parking lot, and having on-site parking in New York was a real plus. Seeing my truck there gave me peace of mind. Breakfast was solid, with scrambled eggs, beef sausage, turkey sausage, grits, gravy, and more. It was served in the morning, around 6/7am-10am, which made for a good start to the day. The small fitness center has dumbbells, a workout bench, treadmills, and a nice mirror setup, enough to get a good workout in. This is officially my go-to hotel in Brooklyn. I'll definitely be back.

The billing mess alone would keep me from coming back. More than a week after my two-week stay ended, my card had been charged $2,000.00 above the amount on the receipt, with another $3,000.00 still pending. Eight days after checkout, the overcharge totaled $5,211.84. When I called on 2/16/26 to ask about it, Luis (Assistant Manager) hung up on me. During the stay, Luis at the desk had also been rude when I questioned the charges, and the general manager didn't want to hear my complaint. Jessica, the manager, was nice and tried to correct the front desk's mistake when extending my stay. There were other problems too: not enough towels, and the desk didn't want to go down to the basement to get more; room keys that didn't work; uncomfortable beds; and construction during the day, even though employees were trying to sleep after night shifts. Outdoor work went on through the night for three consecutive nights. The billing explanations were unhelpful and unreasonable. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, and I'll stay far away from any Fairfield inn. I'm contacting corporate and filing several complaints about this location.

We booked ten nights, but my partner and I hardly slept at all, getting no more than four hours a night. We'd stayed here before with few issues, but this March visit was awful. The last night, housekeeping even woke us by knocking despite our DND tag. Earlier in the stay, construction across the street woke us daily, and the walls seemed paper thin. The room was also beside a heavy emergency exit door that staff let slam shut each morning. I was woken by it several times and once went into the hall to ask them to stop slamming it. The first night, with it 30 degrees Fahrenheit outside, the wall thermostat stopped working. We were freezing, and at midnight the desk couldn't move us, so they offered blankets. We changed rooms the next morning, only to find that carpeting was being replaced in the room directly above us. For the next four mornings, from 6am to 12pm, scraping and banging sounded like it was inside our room. We wore headphones to try to sleep, but could still hear it. We called the front desk and were told they'd “look into it”; no one followed up. Ten nights with barely any sleep is unacceptable. They don't seem to care whether guests are comfortable. I'm never staying here again.

The rooms were fine, though nothing special. What made Fairfield by Marriott Brooklyn a pleasant stay was the convenient location and the attentive staff, who gave excellent service. I'd recommend it for those reasons.

We made good use of the rooftop terrace, with its seating, city views, foosball and a few other games. You could even spot the statue of Liberty in the distance. Plenty of restaurants and bodegas were an easy walk away. The room was clean and cozy, and it worked well for two nights with my son at that price. Breakfast was basic and short on choices, but it kept us going until we could head out and explore. I didn't take any room photos. I'd stay again.
