Rooms were a pleasant surprise: clean, modern, spacious for NYC, and quiet despite the lively neighborhood. The beds were comfy, the bathroom was nice, and there were thoughtful in-room snacks, coffee, and tea. Staff were friendly, multilingual, quick at check-in, and helpful with tips and requests. The location on Allen St, at the Chinatown and Lower East Side border, is great for exploring downtown Manhattan. East Broadway subway is steps away, with the F/J/M/Z lines, and Little Italy, SoHo shops, street food, and Brooklyn Bridge are easy walks. Lots of places to eat nearby too. Great boutique value in a vibrant spot. Loved the clean feel and convenience, and I’d stay again. 5 stars.

Carlos and Lázaro made us feel welcome throughout our stay. They were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The place was clean, comfortable, and well cared for, with great attention to detail. We had an excellent stay from beginning to end and would definitely come back. Highly recommended.

I was very happy with my couple of nights at Hotel Richland during my first visit to NYC in December 2025. The rooms were clean, and the location made it easy to reach local New York-style pizza places. The front desk people were very nice, and one even remembered my name whenever I passed by. I’ll definitely return.

The hotel was clean and conveniently located near Chinatown, where it was easy to pick up breakfast from nearby bakeries. Staff were helpful and arranged a fridge for our room when we asked. For the price, the room felt a bit small. There are also a lot of homeless people in the area, which some travelers might find uncomfortable.

A nice place for a weekend, with the metro nearby and plenty of restaurants and bars around. I walked alone at night and felt safe. The room was a little small, but it is NYC. Staff were super helpful and brought an iron and mini fridge when I asked. They’d left complimentary snacks and water in the room, and there was coffee downstairs.
