The room, 306, had such a lovely feel that I could happily have spent the whole day there. The team made us feel welcome with a handwritten note and nice background music, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout. My only small gripes were that it took a long time for the shower water to get hot, and breakfast could have been more interesting. We planned to eat breakfast out anyway, so that didn't bother us. I absolutely loved this hotel and will be back next time I'm in New York.

We visited at the end of December 2025, and our room was quiet enough to sleep well, even with the window cracked open a little. We had a king bed and sofa bed for two nights, and the desk agents were warm and welcoming. Hotel Scherman is a lovely boutique hotel, tucked into the city in a terrific spot. There are lots of restaurants and bars just steps away, and Times Square was an easy short walk despite the cold. We also walked to a show at the Lyric Theater. The continental breakfast was a nice extra, especially those outstanding croissants. Our Uber ride to LGA took about 30 minutes.

Hotel Scherman was ideally placed for restaurants, shows, Times Square, and subway stations, and we would happily return. We loved the fifth-floor rooftop balcony and its views. Breakfast was solid each morning, especially the croissants and hard-boiled eggs. On our family trip to NYC, Room 402's two-bedroom suite worked perfectly. It was spotless and surprisingly spacious, with a comfortable living area, kitchenette, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a large outdoor balcony. The kitchenette had a Keurig, a small fridge with freezer, a microwave tucked in a cabinet, plates, cups, mugs, silverware, and a wine opener. I'd highly recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in New York City.

We were glad to find the hotel reasonably priced for New York City, and the included continental breakfast was very good. The rooftop terrace was lovely, with an amazing view and plenty of tables and cushioned couches for guests. It's among the restaurants on 46th St, a short walk from Times Square and Broadway theaters. We stayed one night. It's a small, older place with lots of character. Our room was on the small side but clean, quiet, comfortable, and well appointed, and the staff were very welcoming. We'd stay there again.

The room was clean, modern, and just right for us. Staff were kind and attentive, and there was a sweet welcome message when we arrived. It was my first stay here, and the location was perfect. We loved it and would definitely return.
