Homewood Birmingham Downtown Near Uab

I've never stayed at a hotel where I could get fresh coffee at 5am. The woman running the kitchen kept everything in order, was always on the move, and was kind and professional. Breakfast was amazing. The young man at the front desk was also wonderfully friendly and gave me lots of food recommendations. Manager Shundra Ford was amazing, too. Her dedication and love for people and hospitality really showed. I'd definitely come back!

We'd definitely stay again. The staff were welcoming and accommodating, the room and lobby were very clean, and lots of restaurants are within walking distance. We didn't feel completely safe walking around outside the hotel, though.

We came for medical appointments with our four young boys. If we'd known the pool was closed again, we would've booked somewhere else. It looked fine, but we only found out it wasn't working after the drive. Next month I'll stay elsewhere. The shower adjustment is broken, leaving just one setting and a weak stream with no pressure, so I couldn't even take a proper shower. I went downstairs for coffee, but couldn't tell how long it had been sitting there. I paid for a pool and didn't get one.

We wanted a good place for a quick stop and, after a lot of research, this was perfect. Shops and restaurants are right outside, the rooms are huge, and the continental breakfast was the best I've ever had at a hotel. Parking is in a dedicated gated area, with steps to a back door that opens with your room key. I thought that was really nice compared to what some people say. We couldn't check in early when we tried, but the staff were friendly.
