The Inn At Castle Rock

I left before spending the night because severe allergies in my room made it impossible to stay. Maybe it was pets or something else from before me. I agreed to pay for the first night even though we left, but they charged me for the second night too. By the look of the place, they need the money. This felt more like a hostel than a hotel, with common TV rooms and a shared kitchen, and no TV in my room. The shower was the tiniest ever. There were lots of narrow, steep staircases and clutter everywhere, and barely enough space to walk around the bed. The deck right outside the window can be used by other guests. Parking was tough, and I felt lucky to find a spot on the street. I'd only recommend it if you need to save a few dollars. Don't expect privacy, views, or a good shower.

The whole interaction felt hostile and unwelcoming, and the way the situation was handled was unprofessional. We were told the hotel is meant for “older guests” and that we shouldn't return. We'd been repeatedly asked to quiet down and were closely watched in the common areas, even after we lowered our voices to a whisper. No one told us that guests in other rooms had complained about noise. The next morning, the front desk attendant confronted us and said we'd disrupted other guests. I apologized and offered to pay a standard noise fee if needed, but instead was told I had to pay for another guest's room. That was shocking and made no sense. When I asked to see the written policy allowing that charge, they dropped the request and told me to “forget it.” The staff kept speaking to us in a scolding tone. If you're a younger traveler or expect clear, courteous communication from staff, you may want to consider other options in Bisbee.

The upstairs sitting room is my favorite. You can relax, play games, watch TV, or just look out at the amazing view through its many windows. The bedrooms don't have TVs, but there's plenty of food in the kitchen for breakfast, along with coffee and tea. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable, and this giant inn has lots of extras. The people who help run The Inn at Castle Rock are welcoming and helpful, just the best. The Inn at Castle Rock is iconic, a place you won't forget. Whenever we go to Bisbee, that's where we stay. I can't give the place enough praise.

The location in Bisbee was nice, and the room we had came with a cool theme. Just so you know, there was no fridge in our room, though there is a shared one, and no TV either. Breakfast was very basic. The upside is that quite a few nearby places serve a great breakfast.
