The remodeled furnishings are cleaner, though the fit and finish could be better. It’s basically a renovated motel, so calling it a boutique hotel suggests a higher-end place than it is. The walls are really thin, and you can hear people outside and in the next rooms. Beds were a little hard, too. It’s fine, but you pay a premium in high season, and I’m not sure I’d stay again. Just okay for everything considered.

The photos are misleading. The TV didn’t work the first night, and after they fixed it, the WiFi stopped working, so don’t count on getting any work done. They still charge a $10 per night “resort fee” for internet that doesn’t work. Apparently they also won’t service your room unless you ask. Would’ve been good to know at check-in.

The room was really small, and the noise upstairs made this one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in, even though the hotel itself wasn’t that bad. We were on the first floor, and it sounded like kids in one of the two rooms above us were running and jumping on the beds hard enough to come through the ceiling. The first night it went on from 10 pm to 3 am. The second night, it was about 9 pm to 1 am. I called to complain on night two, and they said they’d speak to them. It did calm down a bit afterward. I’ve attached videos of the noise, taken after the worker spoke with them. If getting sleep matters to you, this might not be the place.

I booked this room because I wanted a bath after ski touring. There was no plug for the bathtub, so I couldn’t soak. At reception, they told me none of the rooms had tub plugs because they were too difficult to replace. Advertising a bathtub under those circumstances felt clearly fraudulent.

The room was nice, and I really enjoyed the continental breakfast each morning. We had a rough first night, though, because we were on the first floor and could hear the person above walking around all night. We moved to the second floor and slept better. The front desk clerk accommodated us, which is what mattered, but didn’t seem too happy to be there. A smile goes a long way.
