Days Inn by Wyndham Bishop

The room was clean and cozy, and perfect for our one night in Bishop. Free breakfast in the morning was awesome. Howard, the virtual front desk assistant, was really kind and helpful, and check-in was a breeze. We had a great stay and will be back.

The staff sorted out a booking error seamlessly, and the facility felt well lit and safe. My dad and I stayed three nights while fishing nearby. Ryan the AI person, Sandra the Manager, Msyra, and Angel were all awesome. Our room was spacious and clean, with a phone charging hook-up and good TV service. Breakfast was perfect, with good coffee, fruit, pastries, and oatmeal. We had a wonderful visit to the area and will be back. Thank you.

The virtual online pre-check-in didn’t work, so I had to use the virtual check-in kiosk, which was a joke. Someone from another country was checking me in through it. Then the TV wouldn’t work, and the WiFi was nonexistent. When it did work, it was slower than dial-up in the 90s. This place is a dump and by far the crappiest place we’ve stayed during more than three weeks on the road. Best Western next time.

I visit Bishop four to six times a year, but after my first stay at your location, I’m very unlikely to choose it again. The impersonal service and billing problems were significant disappointments. Check-in was only through a kiosk, which felt detached. There was no warm welcome, chance to ask questions, or helpful information from a person at the front desk. Later, I found unexpected charges connected with booking through a third-party platform. It seemed I was being unfairly charged extra because of the hotel’s arrangement with those services. The pricing didn’t feel transparent. The hotel needs someone available at the desk who can resolve problems promptly and make decisions. The system made it hard to address concerns or feel valued as a guest. These are basic parts of hospitality that need attention if you want guests to be satisfied and return.
