Super 8 Harrisonburg

For a budget stay in Harrisonburg, this was good value. The room was comfortable, the bed slept well, and it had the basics I wanted: free Wi-Fi, parking, and breakfast. Check-in was fast, and the staff were friendly and helpful the whole time. It’s right off I-81, with restaurants, gas stations, and shopping nearby, so getting around was easy. A simple, affordable choice for a short stop while traveling through.

Vyshu at the front desk made check-in easy. She was polite, friendly, and professional, and her helpful attitude gave my stay a personal touch. The whole staff was supportive, and I appreciated the effort everyone put in. The hostel was clean, peaceful, comfortable, and well maintained, with a welcoming, organized feel from the moment I arrived. The hospitality, cleanliness, and management were better than I expected. I’d happily come back and recommend it to others.

Annie was friendly and helpful, and the customer service was great. The rooms were clean, the area was quiet, and the location was convenient. There’s a Liberty Truck Stop right across the street, which is handy for truck drivers. Very nice place.

The room smelled strongly of cigarettes, and there was dirt, grime, and staining on every surface. I saw black mold on the walls and on the paper TV channel guide, hair clippings on the bathroom tile ledge, and even food remains on my key card. My throat started hurting almost right away. We asked to switch rooms, but the hotel was full because of JMU Family Weekend, so we left immediately. They offered only a one-day refund. This was by far the filthiest hotel I’ve ever been in.
