Gateway Inn

The bathroom was the last straw. The roof was broken and rusty, the showerhead was corroded and barely worked, and there was black mold in the tub and shower caulking. The room wasn’t very clean, either. The place has no Wi-Fi despite advertising it, and there’s no refrigerator, microwave, or other amenities. The tube TVs were okay, but the reception was terrible. Everything felt very dated. I got a refund and stayed somewhere else in CO. This place needs a lot of work.

There’s a lot of loud truck traffic early in the morning, around 4am, where Highway 89 meets I70. The room itself was clean and comfortable, with no issues there. But after I called and emailed about a pair of pants and a shirt I’d left behind, nobody ever replied. I can only assume someone took my clothes, which, in my opinion, shows a certain lack of integrity.

The breakfast was oatmeal and coffee or tea, which was fine for me. The microwave worked only sometimes. Wi-Fi reached only the area near the front desk, so if your suite is far away, expect to walk over there to get connected. Some rooms smell like cigarettes. The room itself was clean, but the staff could be friendlier and less attitude-y. It’s an okay place if you’re not expecting deluxe rooms or outstanding service.

The staff were really friendly and kind, but the room smelled old and moldy. There was black mold in the shower, the beds were really hard, the toilet kept running on and off, and the AC only worked when it felt like it. It made for a hot night.
