The deep, upscale bedding made for a very comfortable stay, and we had no issue with noise in the ground-floor “Jade” unit, even though we’d heard warnings about it. Aldo's Bakery is in the same building, so breakfast and coffee were especially convenient. It does cost more than nearby New Shoreham House.

Aldos restaurant downstairs has a huge menu, with seafood dinners, pizza by the pie or slice, salads, gluten-free pasta, dinner specials, and cocktails. The bar is air-conditioned, the staff are friendly, service is great, and prices are affordable. They have lovely wines too, and the restaurant welcomes kids and furbabies. The hotel is right in town, with clean, air-conditioned rooms and great staff. There’s a bakery and ice cream parlor in the building, which makes breakfast easy. Coffee is a 10, and there are lots of drinks, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches, plus fresh-squeezed o.j. Their ice cream is made there with all-natural ingredients, and they’ll show you the machine. The gelato is good too.

I’ve gone back for a second year, but only to eat at Aldi's Italian Restaurant, not to stay here. The service was great and the atmosphere was good. The food was average.

Aldo bakery’s music and loud conversations come right through the floor, so this is a good fit if you want to be woken up by them. Getting up at 6:30 a.m. should make it less of an issue.
