Super 8 Bloomington

Edit: I came back for a week after an earlier stay, and things had changed for the worse. There was loose dirt and hair on the bathroom floor, and despite asking three times, nobody cleaned my room. I also saw a baby cockroach in the bathroom, which makes me think there are more. The bed was comfortable and the TV was okay, but I have two nights left and won't return to this Super 8. I can't tell whether they once had it nicer and let it slide, or started improving things and gave up. End edit. I'm a Wyndham Rewards member and have stayed at a lot of Super 8s. They're usually pretty good, or they try to fix problems, especially Patel motels. This place looked like it might be getting things right. The room was dated, and it seemed like they were trying to repair it, but the bathroom corners looked like drywall mud had been piled on and painted over. The bed was comfortable, the seats and pillows were clean, the fridge was a good size and clean, and the TV had lots of channels. The AC wasn't very effective, though it wasn't too hot out. The bathroom wasn't as clean as I wanted: long black hairs on the shower walls, shampoo stains around the tub, and dirt in the corners under the chair. It was an accessible room. I called ahead as a diamond member to ask about an upgrade, but they said they don't do that there. Parking felt a little sketchy, with few nearby spaces. There's no elevator; they offered a third-floor room, so I asked for the first floor. The hallway smelled a bit, but the place wasn't as bad as some reviews suggested. On that earlier stay, there were no bugs, the bed was comfortable, pillows soft, shower worked, and towels were clean. The bathroom just needed better upkeep.
