Swiss Mountain Village

The place was really beautiful, but I didn’t realize each cabin was divided into sections for four different renters. I could live with that. The bigger issue was the tiny window AC unit in the living room cooling the whole cabin. It was a cool evening, which was the only thing that helped. My daughter slept on the couch because it was too hot upstairs, and hardly any cool air made it to the bedroom.

The grounds were beautiful and secluded, while still close to restaurants and grocery stores for cooking in the room. We loved our stay. The rooms had lots of space and the comforts of home, and worked well for an extended weekend. The fireplace would be wonderful in winter. The primary bedroom mattress was a little firm and hollow-sounding, so it was hard not to disturb someone sharing the bed. Aside from that, it was a great little getaway.

I rented cabin number 20 with my family. There was a ghost in there, a little kid around 4 or 5 years old. The ghost told my sister-in-law to bring her a blue candle from the fireplace chimney, then came from the upstairs room into the living room. After she came in, the upstairs lights stopped working. I went up to try them myself, and they still wouldn’t come on. Then three of us went up there, and the lights started working again. Afterward I went back downstairs, and my sister-in-law was bleeding. We left the cabin at 2:30 in the morning. Be careful there for your life and your kids. We’re thankful we’re safe, thank God.

Everyone had a great time on our short mountain getaway. The staff was incredible, the room was very clean, and the grounds were well kept. We fished in the pond, and wow, my son caught bass and trout one after another! There was also a grilling area with picnic tables, which we enjoyed. The location was great too.
