The golf course was a highlight, and there’s plenty for kids and teens to do, from the pools and lazy river to the waterslides and FlowRider. Families can also spread out in the private, roomy bungalows, and the complimentary bikes made it easy for our older kids, 16 and up, to explore on their own. We liked the resort’s setting and range of amenities, and we’d come back. The dining was good, though it felt more like a nice hotel than a high-end resort, and service at the Pool Club was slow during the week. Getting around by water could be frustrating too: the water taxi stopped early, especially inconvenient in summer, and the complimentary Fiat boats were hard to book and closed early. It’s a beautiful, family-friendly place, but the dining, service consistency, and access to those guest perks kept it from feeling like a true five-star experience. We’d recommend it with tempered expectations for the ultra-luxury touches.

The main resort was great, and I’d recommend it, though the Bungalow won’t suit everyone. It’s spacious, and my suite had a kitchen, living room, dining area, and washer and dryer. Pairing it with the adjoining room would make plenty of room for a family. For my two-night visit, though, the location was inconvenient. There’s no fitness center on site, so getting to the gym meant running or taking the shuttle. It was raining while I was there, and the shuttle could be unreliable. Some fixtures were also starting to fall apart, which seems like poor upkeep for a place meant to be a five-star resort. I can see the Bungalow working better for a longer stay.

A real hidden gem. The large suites and full kitchens work especially well for families, and there’s a private heated pool where we could relax without anyone else around. The staff were wonderful and ready to help with anything. Long-term guests come back every year, and staying here is a nice way to enjoy the resort and its amenities away from the tourists.
