Layover Inn Boise Airport

This was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. Other local hotels I’d reserved turned out to be overbooked, so I had no other option. The room was tiny and not very clean, with a terrible mattress and flat pillows that seemed to disappear. The bathroom had a small stand-up shower and barely any room to dry off. It cost more than the other hotel I’d booked, and even checking in took about 20 minutes, though I was the only guest there. Don’t waste your time or money.

I noticed right away that the room didn’t feel sanitary. The mattress had large brown stains, there was hair all over the toilet, and the walls were grimy and dirty. One wall appeared to have blood on it, and there were suspicious marks on the headboard that looked like they might be bodily fluids. The room clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned or inspected before I was assigned it. Cleanliness is a basic expectation at a hotel, and this place didn’t meet it. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless housekeeping and room inspections improve significantly.

I booked two rooms through Expedia in late February, then canceled them with Expedia’s virtual agent in early March. The hotel still charged me for both rooms, plus another $72. Absolutely horrible. If there’s any chance you might need to cancel, don’t book with them.

The rooms were clean, and getting to the airport was easy.
