Safari Inn Downtown

I’ve stayed here a few times, and it keeps getting better while remaining well below the price of other downtown hotels. This time I booked it for friends visiting, and I finally wanted to leave a review. The rooms are newly remodeled, with good bedding, appliances, and amenities. It’s in a great downtown location, offers weekly rates, and feels like more than your money’s worth. In my opinion, it’s the best hotel in Boise. A very pleasing stay.

My family stays here whenever they come to town. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and there’s an outdoor pool. The location downtown is excellent, close to everything, and the price is great for the area. I recommend it to anyone visiting Boise, with kids or without, who wants to explore on foot or by bike.

The rooms are simple, but clean and comfortable. The pillows were a bit lumpy, so new ones would be a nice improvement. I loved the little touches like homemade chocolate chip cookies, and the customer service was amazing. They’ll even provide a free taxi to the airport at any hour.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the downtown location was handy for my conference at the Boise Center. I loved that they accept pets, but there wasn’t a pet area on site. The large second-floor room used for fake decorations would have made a better pet area. They designate rooms as pet rooms, and you can tell. Mine smelled of pet urine, so I worried my completely housebroken pet might leave her own smell, though she didn’t. Pet-friendly rooms shouldn’t have carpet. Parking was awful unless you had a small car, and the continental breakfast wasn’t worth it.
