Hampton Inn Bonita Springs/Naples-North

The room was clean and the bed comfortable, but I had a hard time sleeping because of the outdoor noise. Traffic sounded like the window was wide open, and I could even hear a baby crying several rooms away. They need better soundproofing. Maybe the rooms at the front of the hotel aren't as noisy.

The location is good, but the food was only okay. The bathroom shower head needs replacing, and there was nowhere to hold on when getting out except the shower curtain. In the room, the carpets need replacing, the windows are filthy, and the bathroom carpet needs vacuuming. The TV in the dining area was broken, and the decaf coffee was always cold, even at breakfast. We stay at a lot of Hilton Honors hotels, and so far Hampton properties have felt totally neglected. Linda at the front desk made us feel like complete garbage. Some people just seem unable to handle face-to-face customer service, and it's incredible that Hampton Inn puts employees who hate customers in charge of its brand image. This place is so bad it's almost funny. I'd say more, but the rattling AC in our room keeps distracting me. Sleep in your car, stay in a tent, or better yet, just stay home.

The staff were awesome, and the room was clean. They gave us a sheet of dining recommendations that saved time and effort, and the restaurant we chose from it was great. The free continental breakfast was very good, too.
