Tugboat Inn

The room was nice, and the hospitality was good. Check-in was friendly and very easy. I was a little unhappy with the location of room 422. The hotel didn't seem to have many guests in that wing, but we were put right next to someone whose noise we could hear through the walls. Some space between rooms would've been better, and I would've preferred a room a bit farther out.

This was our second stay, and we really enjoyed it. Room 425 had two queen beds, plenty of space, and a good view. Room 126 had a better view, but that king room was too cramped. The rooms were very clean. The bathrooms are small, but workable. It would be nice to have coffee available closer than the check-in area. The in-room coffee machines are a little questionable to use since there's no record of when they were last cleaned with vinegar. We enjoyed our stay very much, thank you.

We picked the Tugboat Inn because it welcomes pets, and it turned out to be a perfect base in Boothbay Harbor. It's not fancy, but it's clean and comfortable, with lots of charm. The location is hard to beat, right in the middle of town, steps from the shops, restaurants, and waterfront. Our room looked out over the harbor, and the view was spectacular. Everyone we met on staff was helpful and friendly, and the service was excellent. A convenient, relaxing place with classic Maine vibes. We'd happily stay again!

Being in the main building was a great choice. We had a king room on the third floor, with a spectacular water view over all the harbor boats and out toward the ocean. The room was very spacious, and the bathroom was clean with a good shower. We also appreciated having a mini fridge and microwave. The balcony felt mostly private, with barriers between spaces, though you can see whether anyone is on a neighboring balcony if you stand up. The room was a little dated, and the bed was on the firm side, so I'd give it four stars. Staff were friendly and helpful. The Tugboat is right near all the action despite how it may look on Google Maps. Restaurants, coffee shops, stores, and the footbridge are within a five-minute walk. Coastal Prime took about ten minutes on foot, and Lobster Wharf about fifteen. I'd highly recommend staying here.
