The pillows were on the small side, but very comfortable. The hotel was clean, and the staff were pleasant and accommodating. There wasn’t much in the way of complimentary items in the room, just soap and no shampoo. I don’t usually stay at Super 8, so I can’t really compare it.

The new owners are working hard to make this a comfortable place to rest. We tried the new heated pool after a long drive, and it was lovely. The in-room jacuzzi tubs are heaven, too. A stained blanket grossed us out, but the manager was very kind and apologized profusely. They’d just received new blankets.

There was trash, nails, and even needles in the parking lot, and the pool area was muddy, with windows and doors left open. The ice machine was gross and badly needed bleaching. The rooms were decent, but not well cleaned, with trash and crumbs under the bed skirts. I’d booked online weeks ahead, but the price on arrival was $20 higher than I’d been quoted by phone, and my request for an outside-door room was denied. I took pictures, and the stay wasn’t worth the $90 I paid.

The beds felt like thick cardboard, the internet kept cutting out, and the continental breakfast was put away before the time they said it would be available. The owner, a woman, was extremely rude and didn’t seem to care about guests. I called later about a lost item and felt treated like a big inconvenience. I’ve stayed at many Super 8s and wasn’t impressed by the comfort or the courtesy and respect I received. The rates may be good, but don’t expect quiet or customer service.

The pool was small and sad, with cloudy water, and the room around it was noisy, with exposed pipes and a big hole near the ceiling. In our second room, the sheets and blankets had a tear and holes, and we found a comb and a couple of Q-tips in a chair. It was clean enough that my skin didn’t crawl, but still below what I expect from a hotel. The first room was literally torn up, with mattresses standing upright, and the receptionist said they were doing maintenance. My partner and I were both itchy the next day and noticed a few red bumps. I hope it wasn’t bedbugs. After all that, they charged full price. A terrible excuse for a hotel.
