Apple Tree Inn

We got into the room with a door code they texted us, so there was no check-in process or staff interaction at all. Really simple. The room had a comfortable bed, soft sheets and towels, and a Keurig stocked with different coffees and creamers for the morning. It felt roomy despite the minimal furniture, with wood floors and beamed ceilings, and it was clean. The Inn is in a quiet roadside community a few miles from busy Main Street in Julian. We ate lunch at Heroes Wood-fired pizza and had pie at Mom’s bakery just down the road. My husband and I would both happily stay here again, and we're already recommending it to friends.

Both rooms we saw were comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. We needed to switch rooms, and I think the owner was the one who helped us. She answered even though it was past office hours and arranged the move without a problem. I'd stay here again on another trip to Julian.

The walls let through so much sound that we could hear the neighbors' every footstep, along with their harsh fighting all night. We tried our hardest to keep quiet ourselves, but the noise made an already uncomfortable situation worse. We had come to celebrate our wedding anniversary and ended up leaving early the next morning, cutting our two-night stay short so we could feel safe. The location is good and the rooms are cute, but that experience overshadowed both.

The room was clean and had all the amenities we needed, and staff answered our questions and offered recommendations. The inn is just a short walk from a couple of restaurants, a cider place, and a brewery. It was my first visit to the Julian area, and this worked perfectly for the trip. I've already said good things about the inn and plan to come back.
