We still like this location for its central spot, spacious two bedroom suites, and cleanliness compared with the atrocious Shreveport location. We stay here often, but this visit was a letdown, especially because I was traveling with three small kids and staff showed little interest in helping. I book and check in digitally. Though check-in was at 4 p.m., my digital key still hadn't arrived by 6, even though I'd checked in hours earlier. When I called, the woman rudely said they were busy and would call back. Eventually she did, saying a room would be ready shortly. I don't understand why it took that long when checkout is at 11, and nobody explained. The elevator shook and banged violently, opened sluggishly on the fourth floor, and scared my kids. I asked staff to ride it and check, but they did nothing and seemed bothered that I'd mentioned it. The hot water in suite #406 was only warm, and the kids' bathroom didn't even have warm water. I reported that too, with no action. There were no paper towels, dish soap, or small towels in the unit when we arrived, so I had to request them. The worst part was how unwilling staff seemed to help or care. I told a man at the desk about several things that had happened. He seemed shocked, though I can't say if he was sincere. Nobody apologized or tried to make it right. I still like the place for a few reasons, but these are things they can fix and need to change quickly. There are too many competitors to treat customers this way.

We enjoyed the stay except for the toilet. It sometimes wouldn't refill unless we took off the tank lid and pushed a gray lever at the back that kept sticking. It was totally disgusting. I've mentioned this in an earlier review, though I'm not sure it was understood. The team didn't respond satisfactorily, and my last message got no reply at all. I'm still waiting for someone to contact me about reasonable compensation.

Very homey and comfortable, with a friendly atmosphere and a really nice pool. My only complaint is breakfast. It's the same every morning, so if you stay long term like I do, you get tired of it fast. I'll plan to come back for another getaway when I need one.

The elevator is extremely slow, and there's only one, so getting around was a hassle. We also had loud noise from the room above for a couple of days, including times when we needed to rest before a long hospital shift. On our first morning the shower was completely cold. Maintenance came later that day, but the water was lukewarm again the next night. We were also disappointed with the bar's Old Fashioneds. They don't smoke them anymore or use the proper cherries, so they weren't up to the standard we've enjoyed here before. We've stayed at this Hilton several times and usually have a great experience. We hope these problems get addressed because we typically love staying here and want to come back for the great service we know Hilton can provide.
