Chandler Studios

The single tissue shoved into the bottom of the Kleenex box pretty much summed up how cared for this place felt. The room itself was smaller than I expected, though the bathroom was nice and the shower was a decent size. I picked Chandlier Studios because it was near my conference at the cyclorama, and I liked the location. Getting to my room, though, felt like trying to get out of an escape room. Sleep was rough on a bed so hard I woke up wondering if I was on a box spring. Then the shower was freezing. From 7 to 8:30am I called Hotel 140 every half hour for an update. On the last call, they said someone was working on the hot water, they didn't know when it would be fixed, and they'd call me when it was ready. I went out after the cold shower, returned that night to find the hot water back, and took a proper shower. They never did call to let me know. A few small changes could improve the studios, but there are too many other hotels around to put up with this.

It's private, and in my opinion better than the commercial hotels nearby. You can walk pretty much anywhere from here. Parking is tough, though, so you'll need to figure out the car situation.

The neighborhood was good, the place was spotless, and the staff went out of their way to help. I'd stay again without a doubt. Thanks!

Everything felt new, and the room was just right. It has a really modern feel. I'd definitely stay there again.
