The breakfast buffet was probably the best hotel breakfast I've had. There were eggs, bacon, chicken sausage, roasted tomatoes, pastries, and a yogurt bar, and everything seemed really fresh. The bed was super comfortable too. The room had some fun high-tech features controlled by an iPad, and I liked being able to cast to the TV while using my phone. I travel with my own iPad, which made that easy. I can see the setup being a bit daunting if you're not very tech savvy. The fridge barely cooled anything. I reported it to the front desk, and they said their fridges don't get very cold and that they'd send someone. I don't think anyone came, and I had to throw away leftovers that were practically room temperature by morning. It was good value for the price, but they wouldn't consider a later checkout for my Marriott status. I asked for noon; 11:30 seemed to be the latest they would allow. They said they just don't do that, though they offered to hold my bags. I needed somewhere quiet to take a couple of meetings, so that didn't help.

The room was small, clean, modern, and quite dark, which worked well since I work nights. I liked that an iPad controls the lights, temperature, and TV. The staff were friendly, and there's a nice bar serving drinks, plus a small kitchen with ready-to-eat sandwiches and snacks. I didn't get to try the food because the person who took my order entered it wrong and the kitchen didn't make it, but no biggie. I still enjoyed the stay. I booked during the blizzard to be closer to work. The location was great, right across from the Green Line T, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. My room had a king bed and was a good size for one or two people.

The location is fantastic, right by the Hynes T stop, with lots of restaurants in walking distance. Check-in and checkout on tablets made both easy. The rooms are small, as other reviews say, but if you're only sleeping there, it shouldn't bother you. Try for a high floor if you can. We loved falling asleep by the huge window, looking out over the city. We'd definitely stay again.

The Wi-Fi was fast and stable, and I really appreciated getting an early check-in. The room is small as advertised, but fine for a solo traveler, and the location is great. For the price and location, I'd probably stay again if I visit Boston. I did find some things missing. There were only two firm pillows, though other reviews mentioned two firm and two soft pillows in each room. Maybe housekeeping missed them, or maybe the hotel no longer provides them. The iPad made it look like I could set the room temperature, but the setting is capped, so it never reached what I wanted. That wasn't great in January.

Jenna deserves a special thanks. She's a real professional, and the service she gave me was the kind I'd expect at a high-end luxury hotel. Her help made a huge difference over my stay. I was there for 19 nights on a business trip. The hotel is in Back Bay, with plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance, and getting to the Longwood Medical Area was straightforward: a safe, pedestrian-friendly 1.3-mile walk that took about 30 minutes. The rooms are compact but thoughtfully laid out, and suit a solo traveler or a couple without too much luggage. Breakfast was simple and had my favorites: bacon, eggs, fresh bread, salmon, guacamole, cereal, and croissants. I also liked the gym. It's not large, but has what you need, a nice view, and never felt crowded while I was there. The rooftop bar was another highlight, with fantastic city views.
