I really liked the neighborhood. It’s quiet and residential, with good cafes and restaurants close by, and public transportation is easy to reach. I felt safe enough to walk around even after midnight. The hosts were kind and attentive, too, and did a lot to make the stay comfortable. The apartment itself was clean, lovely, and looked just like the photos. It had everything I needed for a short stay.

The place was clean and comfortable, but it was the people who made it stand out. I was staying here unexpectedly while starting grad school at Northeastern, and the staff picked up my calls even late at night, answered all my questions, and handled last-minute extensions without a fuss. The caretaker was an absolute angel. We had a real conversation, and she told me to focus on my studies, think about my mom, and keep going. Those simple words were exactly what I needed to hear that day. Another small moment stuck with me: I was taking my trash out, and she insisted she’d do it. I said I was already heading that way, and honestly, taking out trash is weirdly satisfying lol. It felt like a real human connection. This isn’t just a room, it’s people who treat you like family.

The extra charges and lack of basic hospitality made this feel overpriced. We were told to take all our trash out before leaving even though cleaning, about $100, was included. There was hardly any toilet paper in the room, and an extra roll cost $5. The steep, poorly designed driveway also felt like a real risk to our car, yet parking was $50. The room didn’t match the website description or photos. Instead of the promised charming courtyard, the window faced a depressing brick wall. The toilet was tiny and low, like something from a kindergarten, and really uncomfortable. Sound insulation was awful too. We could hear every word from the neighboring room late into the night, so sleeping was hard. The one good thing was the convenient location. Otherwise, the misleading pictures, poor facilities, added costs, and lack of basic hospitality left us disappointed. I strongly do NOT recommend it. Save yourself the frustration and stay somewhere else.

They charge a $75 cleaning fee, but the house rules still tell guests to take out their own trash. They also couldn’t provide a fresh roll of toilet paper, which I’d expect at any decent place to stay. Be very cautious if you book here. Once they have your credit card details, they’ll start charging random things and call them a “mistake.” I wouldn’t wish these hosts success. They deserve none.

The room was revolting. It was overheated with no thermostat, and when we tried opening a window, there was no screen. The toilet wouldn’t flush even water, and there was urine standing in it. A note told us to put toilet paper in the trash bin to avoid clogs. We ended up using public restrooms, so don’t expect a usable bathroom or a good night’s sleep. The walls were paper thin: we heard TVs, conversations from upstairs, next door and below, plus doors slamming. The dishes were filthy, and the molding and baseboards were rotted. Our room looked nothing like the photos and felt like a hostel. There were hidden fees after booking, along with a $200 security deposit. We got one text saying someone would check in after arrival and send checkout details on departure day. That never happened. The hotel number goes to an outsourced service, and reaching someone was difficult. The attached photos don’t lie. This place ought to be ashamed of itself.
