After more than five years at Garrison Square, my apartment needed a general refresh. I was away while the work was done, and came back to a renewed, clean home. The whole job went smoothly, from my first contact with onsite manager Josh to the maintenance team led by Ailton. It was well done and stress-free. The contract renewal team offsite was helpful earlier this year, too. Garrison Square remains an attractive complex, well maintained by the local support team, and the Concierge is very accommodating.

The management office has been awful and irresponsible. Our rent went up $300 a month after one year, and the apartment just isn’t worth that. They accused us of a lease violation when we hadn’t done anything, and when we tried to sort it out, the office kept saying they didn’t have time. Maintenance has even entered our unit without knocking. Do yourself a favor and choose somewhere else.

There’s no sense of community here. Living at Garrison Square feels cold and transactional, with little care for residents. The place is marketed as luxury, but the only thing that feels luxurious is the price. They seem to rely on the location to justify the rent, because the actual experience doesn’t match the cost. The $125 monthly pet charge feels like a penalty for having an animal, not a pet-friendly policy. Inside the units, appliances, fixtures, and finishes are cheap and keep breaking. Management rarely makes it clear when repairs will happen, and maintenance is slow and frustrating. Resident services has been a mess. Joshua Brandao and Jennifer Rose-Minihan are consistently rude, and their emails are mostly condescending and unhelpful. Issues get met with bureaucracy, attitude, or silence. The concierge is no help with resident problems, and the lobby mostly smells like weed. If you expect professional service, lower your expectations. Overpriced, poorly managed, unfriendly, and misleadingly branded. Do not move here.

I moved in recently and it’s been great so far. Joshua and Ailton are friendly and helpful, and they took care of a few small maintenance requests quickly.

It’s a great place to live because the resident support is so dependable. Whenever I need something fixed in the apartment, from a door handle to something in the sink, they’re quick and proactive. Ailton came by today to make a few adjustments and was kind, professional, and really helpful.
