Moxy Boston Downtown

The downtown location made it easy to walk to just about anywhere, including public transit, and the price felt reasonable for the area. Our view was incredible too. This was our first Moxy stay, and we're looking forward to trying the sister hotels on future trips. I'd highly recommend The Moxy. From the moment our lyft pulled up, the hotel's style caught our attention: industrial architecture, cool art, and mannequins in the window that gave it an art vibe. We tried the selfie photo cubicle, then checked in on the second floor. The front desk team made check-in easy and gave us $35 vouchers per day for food or drinks at the bar, plus a complimentary signature cocktail. Jacklyn was a fun first bartender and warmly welcomed us. Savion was fantastic too, and suggested some good nearby places.

The look and feel of the place brought back memories of New York. Check-in and check-out were easy, and the employees were friendly and curious about what brought my friend and me to Boston. Breakfast was filling and looked appealing, and the other guests were considerate and friendly. I had a phenomenal experience and would come back.

The downtown spot is ideal for exploring on foot, and the view is beautiful, but it gets really noisy at night. Moxy has an artsy, energetic feel in the public spaces. The rooms are clean and simple, though small, and the bedding and pillows are only decent for comfort. You get a free drink ticket each day and a $35 food voucher. It's a fun perk, though really it's a built-in service fee. It's a trendy boutique hotel, but personally it wasn't my vibe.

We were disappointed and wished we'd chosen another hotel. It's aimed at a young, trendy crowd, and the room was tiny with just one platform bed. There was no coffee maker, mini fridge, or microwave. The city view was cool, though.
